Special Session 12
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY METHODS (SS12)

Artificial Intelligence and data-driven approaches are rapidly transforming how we design, optimize, and understand energy systems. From modeling diffusion in energy storage devices to predicting transport phenomena in carbon capture and hydrogen systems, AI offers new pathways to accelerate discovery and improve efficiency in sustainable technologies.

This special session welcomes contributions on analytical, computational, and experimental work where Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or data-driven modeling play a role in advancing sustainable energy research.

Topics may include AI-driven simulation of diffusion and transport processes, predictive materials design for energy storage and conversion, optimization of renewable energy systems, and digital twins for energy applications. The session is intended as a platform for exchanging ideas and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, bringing together researchers in diffusion, mass transfer, and AI to promote new collaborations in the transition to a sustainable energy future.
